Good News at the Foot of the Cross

When we stand at the foot of the cross, we look up to see angels descending and ascending from the throne of God (John 1:51). God's blessings, secured by His Son in the Heavenly Realm (Ephesians 1:3), are promised to those who call upon the name of Christ and who are baptized into His death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:3-11 and Acts 22:16). All who have accepted this door to salvation are "in Christ" and are filled with His Spirit as a pledge and as a means of strength (2 Corinthians 1:22; 5:5; Ephesians 1:14

Because we can at anytime call on the name of Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:2) and "look up" to see the angels responding, we are the very people who need to have joy, peace, and contentment in our hearts, minds, and spirits. Those who are "in Christ" have the privilege of calling on His Name at any time of day or night to receive the blessings of peace, joy, contentment, and wisdom. Jesus knew a "troubled" spirit (John 13:21) and gave it to the Father. Jesus is now in Heaven asking you to give Him your troubled heart (John 14:27 ; 1 Peter 3:14)This is how we show that we trust Him.

  2. Many Christians, but especially women, have troubled hearts, burdened with worry, discontentment, fear and sadness. We try to handle all our issues alone. Give Jesus your troubled heart, one day, one hour, one minute at a time. HE will provide your peace. It's an amazing experience!!
